15.02.2011
Established in 1955, Yearsley Group has more than 1,200
employees across 12 sites, an annual turnover of around £130m and
operates two separate divisions: food sales, and storage and
distribution.
Bell Pottinger North won the contract after a three-way
pitch.
The team's remit is to support the firm's future growth plans by
delivering a proactive business-to-business campaign that raises
the profile of the company and the group's service and product
offering.
The campaign will focus on a spectrum of trade and vertical
magazines within the food manufacturing, cold storage and
logistics, retail and catering media, and with the local and
regional business press.
Louise Russell, marketing manager for Yearsley Group, said: "Bell
Pottinger has a reputation as a consultancy which delivers results,
acting as an extension to your existing marketing activities.
"Throughout the pitch process the team was both professional and
knowledgeable, and presented a campaign that is well throughout and
appropriate to our requirements, providing exactly the level of
support we need."
Bell Pottinger North's first task was to announce the group's
acquisition of Ice Pak, a Leeds-based frozen seafood
specialist.
John Butters, director at Bell Pottinger North's Macclesfield
office, added: "We're delighted to be working with Yearsley Group
at what is an exciting time for the company. As the UK's largest
cold storage and distribution provider, Yearsley Group occupies a
strong position in the marketplace and boasts an impressive client
portfolio. It is our job to raise awareness of its service and
product offering, and demonstrate the vast experience within the
business, to a wider audience within the company's target
sectors."
Bell Pottinger North is part of the Bell Pottinger Group and is
the largest public relations consultancy in the north, with offices
in Macclesfield, Liverpool and Leeds.
