Bell Pottinger to promote Gabala FC tour of North West
08.02.2011
A young team from Galaba FC has been sent to North West England
to test the players' skills against the region's top clubs.
It's the very first time the teenagers from Gabala FC have been
out of the country and the trip is part of their ongoing
development as the club prepares to be a major force in European
football.
The public relations campaign is being overseen by Bell Pottinger
North director John Butters who said: "Tony Adams was appointed as
manager of Gabala FC last May with an ambition to win the
Azerbaijani league in three years.
"The club aspires to be a leading force in European football and
looks forward to the day when it will be playing competitively in
the Champions League or Europa League group stages.
"Our campaign will promote the aspirations of the Gabala FC and
will help put Azerbaijan on the map."
The former Arsenal legend, Tony Adams, said: "Most of these
kids have been with us from an early age.
"This ten-day trip will see them play against the youth teams of
top Premier League clubs. Azerbaijan is a growing force in football
with many youngsters showing huge potential. It won't be long
before an Azerbaijani player makes his Premier League debut."
