Bell Pottinger wins motoring law firm’s PR licence

24.06.2009

The deal follows a competitive pitch and will see Bell Pottinger North highlight how Driving Defences, with offices in Manchester and London, helps motorists to protect their licences after being accused of road traffic offences.

With a focus on media relations and online activity, the campaign will show the benefits of motorists turning to support from Driving Defences' road traffic law experts rather than non-specialist solicitors.

The campaign is overseen by Bell Pottinger North director John Butters, who reports to Driving Defences' principal Martin Hammond.

"We are excited about this campaign, which will be fuelled by interesting human interest stories and the success of test cases that throw into question thousands of convictions," said Butters.

"Driving Defences has successfully proven time and time again that motorists have been unfairly charged or convicted because equipment used by the police can be at fault or operated incorrectly.

"The firm's solicitors have successfully represented all types of driver, from the man in the street needing to defend his livelihood by staying on the road through to Premier League footballers and high profile actors."

Driving Defences' team has 17 years' experience of successfully supporting motorists against charges such as speeding, drink driving, driving without due care and attention and dangerous driving.
