SUTTONS £7.2 MILLION INVESTMENT IN UK FLEET

Global logistics leader Suttons is investing £7.2 million in its UK bulk tanker fleet.

The delivery of 85 new tractor units and 12 food grade bulk tipping tanks is starting this month.

The order includes 33 DAF units to operate with bulk tipping trailers and 12 new Feldbinder tanks.

The other 52 tractors will be Volvo's, including 15 lightweight day cab units specified for fuel delivery operations.

Andrew Palmer, Group Managing Director of Suttons, said: "This major investment is focussed on supporting both our existing UK customers in the bulk food, gas, chemical and fuel sectors and equipping us for recently won new business.  It underlines Sutton's commitment to developing our UK based activities as an integral part of our strategic plans to develop all our logistics activities globally."
