Sales boost for Dementia Life
6/4/2010

Dementia Life, a supplier of innovative, interactive technology to assist people with dementia has appointed Ian Stockton as its sales manager.
Ian, from Sale in Greater Manchester, will help manage the company's growing links into the UK healthcare sector as well as developing new prospects across the country.
Formerly a senior manager with the Co-operative, Ian brings over 20 years' of commercial and sales experience to the role.
Martin Valentine, director of Dementia Life, commented: "Ian's appointment will help strengthen our growing presence in the UK healthcare sector. We have already made significant in-roads into a number of high profile care groups and several NHS Trusts. Ian's experience, ability and contacts give us the capacity to take sales of our cutting-edge systems to the next level.
Martin continued: "Technology can offer ways to augment and supplement human care for people with dementia, having significant impact on their quality of life. It's our goal to introduce the CIRCA/LIM system into health establishments across the country and with Ian's appointment it goes some way to helping us achieve that ambition."
Dementia affects over 820,000 people in the UK, a figure that is set to rise to over one million by 2025. The CIRCA/LIM system helps people with dementia by presenting a range of carefully selected media to allow them and their carer to communicate more effectively as they share memories that would usually remain ‘locked' away.
Ian is married, with two children and is a passionate supporter of Manchester United.
