Law firm DWF launches crisis response service

6/15/2010

Law firm DWF is launching a new service this month to help businesses prepare for a crisis and ensure their reputation and brand is protected.

The new Crisis Response Service is being set up following a number of high profile regulatory incidents, the latest being the BP oil leak disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.

Partner Steffan Groch is heading up the Service. He said: "Crises experienced by those who sign up to the service may not be on the same scale as the BP oil leak but can have as serious an impact on their reputation.

"Imagine the Regulators turn up at your offices investigating some financial irregularities or there is a serious or fatal accident at your premises. It could even be that one of your market-leading products suddenly fails causing damage to property or injury to the public.

"It's vital that relationships are already in place before such crises occur and support is actually needed. Our team of lawyers and consultants includes specialists in a wide range of sectors including construction, leisure, retail and food manufacturing.

"Don't wait for the unthinkable to happen - let us help you start planning your Crisis Response."

A half-day seminar in London on Thursday 24 June 2010, will introduce three of the services needed in a crisis. Lawyers, media advisors and post-trauma professionals will be on hand to guide businesses through the legal and media challenges of dealing with a crisis; explaining how it affects their business, directors and employees.

As part of the service, pre-emptive compliance advice on regulatory risks and safety systems training can also be provided and there is free ongoing workshop programme.

For more information or to register for the event please contact Claire Phillips at DWF on xxxx by Friday 11 June 2010.
