DWF launches rail sector legal ‘bible’

Rupert Nevin, the book's co-author, is a partner in DWF's specialist rail unit in Leeds and has acted for various train operating companies and other rail industry parties for over a decade. The new guide, ‘Rail Industry Liabilities', is the product of over 12 months' meticulous research.
Rupert said: "Historically, these types of guides have been all or nothing. They are either a quick reference guide which doesn't go into enough detail, or a long, tedious text book that explains the minutiae of rail law and therefore far too onerous to be of any use.
"We feel we have got the balance right and produced a guide that is somewhere in between that will hopefully become a legal bible to the industry.
"Rail Industry Liabilities gives guidance on dealing with employers' and public liability claims and provides analysis of the key clauses of the Claims Allocation and Handling Agreement and their practical implications.
