DWF helps employers tackle Absence Management
3/26/2010DWF helps employers with workplace issues
Law firm DWF is to hold a series of half-day workshops to provide employers with practical tips on how to tackle workplace issues.
DWF's next event in the "Introduction to...." series of workshops is being held in London. The event will focus on those issues which can often provide the most headaches for managers.
Frequent short term absence or long term absence can have an effect throughout an organisation impacting not just on production levels and targets but also staff morale. In this practical session we identify the key legal processes to follow and provide tips on how best to tackle absence levels.
A recent survey by DWF showed that 61.5% of respondents thought that absence policies and procedures was a topic key to their business. Managing these issues within the workplace can be difficult and incredibly time consuming but managing such issues effectively and within the legal boundaries is essential in order to reduce the risk of tribunal claims.
With the focus on discussion and solutions this is a key workshop for line managers and supervisors to equip them with the essential tools needed to handle those difficult conversations. It will include a discussion group for delegates and will examine the legal processes that need to be followed.
The Introduction to Absence Management workshop takes place on 27 April. More information about the workshops can be found at www.dwf.co.uk or to book a place contact Julie Cohen at Julie.cohen@dwf.co.uk.
