Corporate recovery partner joins DWF from City rival

Leading law firm, DWF, has boosted its corporate recovery team with the appointment of an experienced insolvency lawyer from Halliwells.
Gavin Jones qualified into a City firm and worked with London-based lawyers, Matthew Arnold and Baldwin until moving to the North West in 2001 when he became a partner at Halliwells.
Managing partner, Andrew Leaitherland, said: "Our Corporate Recovery and Restructuring team is well established in the region with over 25 years' of experience. Gavin is recognised as a leader in his field by Legal 500 and Chambers Legal Directory and his appointment builds on the leadership qualities of our existing team of partners. Head of DWF's Finance and Restructuring Group, Andrew Gregory, said: "Gavin has more than 18 years' experience in restructuring non performing businesses. He has a strong profile in the regional corporate recovery market and brings with him a significant number of clients and contacts. His clients include most of the major firms of insolvency practitioners and restructuring specialists as well as a number of bankers."
Gavin has also been a licensed insolvency practitioner since 1998. His appointment follows that of Jonathan Edwards who joined from Hammonds earlier this month as National Head of Banking.
