Gaskell family settles into Arley Homes' Bolton development

PR

A family has been brought back together at Arley Homes' Churchfields development in Harwood. Samantha Gaskell and her 16-month old baby son Lucas were circumnavigating the M60 and living out of suitcases as they juggled commuting to work from her home in Macclesfield to Bury Catholic Preparatory School.

She and husband Oliver were desperate to find a home closer to Sam's school which meant they could be together in the week, rather than having live apart as Sam stayed with family in order to avoid the daily commute. After having their Macclesfield property on the market for two years, the couple had started to lose faith and were considering renting in Bury.

Happily their fortunes changed, finding a buyer in October, and luckily Sam's eagled-eyed mum discovered the Arley Homes' Churchfields development and took the couple to have a look. Now the family has moved into the four bedroom Haslingden property and quickly settled into their new life in Harwood. They've even found it to be a home from home for Sam as she is one of several teachers to have bought on the development.

Sam, 32, said: "We're absolutely thrilled with the new house, it's all we could have wanted and more. Several of my colleagues live in Harwood so I was already aware of what the area had to offer as a great place to live, and it was amusing to find there were lots of other teachers also living on the development.

"The house itself is beautiful, I love the kitchen and, with an open plan living / dining room, there is so much space for Lucas to play. We're so close to the countryside that we have gorgeous views from upstairs, but we're also nearby for work, the shops and my family in Prestwich. Churchfields is the perfect home for our family and I'm really looking forward to Lucas growing up here."

Churchfields features five individually designed house types, each offering contemporary interiors and spacious living over three floors. Ideal for family life, all homes have four bedrooms and a mixture of ground floor layouts offering the option of an open-plan kitchen/ dining room or spacious lounge/ diner.

Oliver, 36, added: "I'm not usually a fan of new builds but Arley has used a traditional stone exterior which looks great. Inside the house is well finished and the rooms are all good sizes and we even have an amazing conservatory at the back, it's so different to what I was expecting. And because we've bought straight from the developer they were able to tailor a purchasing package to suit our requirements. Arley has been brilliant, the sales advisor was great and the after care service has been fantastic."

The semi-rural development is located on Stitch-Mi-Lane, just minutes from the A56 and within easy reach of Bolton and Bury town centres. It is also perfectly situated for a commute to Manchester City Centre either by train or via the M61 motorway.

Arley Homes offers a range of incentives and packages at Churchfields including assisted sale and part exchange. Selected plots at Churchfields are also eligible for a mortgage offer of up to 100 per cent, subject to terms and conditions. Prices start from £199,950.
