Boost to DWF’s insurance team

Leading law firm, DWF has appointed a new senior legal adviser to further strengthen its insurance team in Leeds.
Sharon Sanderson joins the catastrophic personal injury (PI) department from O'Rourke Reid Solicitors where she was a senior legal executive. Before this, Sharon worked in the dispute resolution team at Halliwells in Manchester dealing with personal liability cases for the National Farmers Union (NFU).
Head of catastrophic personal injury, Glyn Jones, said: "This is the latest appointment to the Insurance practice group which is continuing to grow, with over 50 partners. We continue to attract exceptional talent from our competitors.
"One of Sharon's first clients will be Faraday Syndicate 435, part of a Lloyd's syndicate, with whom she has previously worked and built a strong relationship. In fact, they have been so impressed with her standard of work that they have already transferred a number of their cases over to DWF, some in excess of £1 million.
"We continue to work with most of the UK's leading Insurers and insurance remains a key part of the business as it continues to grow. Our Leeds office is bucking the trend of other law firms in the region, trebling in size in the past two years."
