KUSBP to support the region’s rising stars with specialist office development
01.07.2011
A new enterprise centre designed to support young businesses is
being developed by Keele University Science and Business Park
(KUSBP).
KUSBP is planning to convert a former farmhouse at the Park into
1500 sq ft of flexible and affordable office space, specifically
targeted at companies that have been trading for 12 months or
less.
As well as benefiting from a contemporary office, businesses
that locate to the new 'Nova Centre' will join a two-year growth
programme, including advice on sales, marketing, HR,
performance and strategy, and opportunities to
network.
Caroline Mairs, head of KUSBP said: "The Nova Centre will be
ideal for budding entrepreneurs, including graduates, who are
running new business ventures and looking for affordable office
accommodation, strategic advice and support to help them achieve
sustainable growth.
"As well as benefiting from the commercial expertise and
knowledge of the KUSBP team, the start ups will gain access to all
of the facilities on the Keele University campus such as cafes,
restaurants and sports facilities, as well as access to academic
expertise. Our aim is to help give ambitious, young companies a
competitive edge that will ensure that they can develop into strong
and successful organisations."
Work is due to begin on site in August 2011 with the new 'Nova
Centre' scheduled for completion by January 2012.
