Olde Wealden Multi launched by
Wienerberger
New addition to the Desimpel range
The handformatic Desimpel brick range from Wienerberger has been
extended once again with the launch of the Olde Wealden Multi. This
rich red stock brick, with grey hearting created during the firing
process, is ideal for creating a traditional facade.
Although made using modern production methods, each is
individually moulded and has a handcrafted appearance with a
rustic, creased texture. Handformatic bricks offer specifiers a
heritage-style finish with all the benefits of uniform sizes and a
guaranteed supply of product.
Aimed mainly at the new homes market, the Olde Wealden Multi is
the latest addition to the now 20-strong Desimpel portfolio and
offers yet another colour choice for specifiers of heritage style
products, among whom the range is particularly popular. Following
Wienerberger's incorporation of Desimpel in March 2010, the world's
biggest brick manufacturer vowed to build on its success with the
development of new products and recently included the addition of
the Olde Horsham, the Olde Cranleigh Multi and the Olde Henfield
Multi.
Manufactured at Wienerberger's Warnham works in West Sussex, the
new brick also has inbuilt sustainability credentials, helping
housebuilders to meet the requirements of the Code for Sustainable
Homes. Bricks produced at Warnham were first in the UK to be
awarded the BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing standard when the factory
was assessed in 2010, and the Olde Wealden Multi is currently
undergoing the accreditation process.
